Description

A gloss enhancement detail is designed to reduce swirls and marring which dulls your paint. Using a 2 stage machine polish we aim to reduce 70-80% of these paints defects and restoring your gloss level. After the paint has been restored, our detailers will apply a ceramic coating which ensures this finish lasts longer, and most important is easier for you to maintain.

What Are Paint Swirls?

Paint swirls are caused by poor washing techniques including dirty mitts, cloths, brushes and water. Dry wiping can also cause this. Swirls cause flat and dull paint.

What Is Marring?

Marring is only seen in bright light and looks like a wave pattern. Marring is the result of either machine polishing which has been unrefined or buffing to hard.

What Is Machine Polishing?

Machine polishing or mopping is the art of using a rotatory or orbital polisher with a foam or wool pad and a cutting compound to polish back paint defects or refine finishes. Operating up to 6000rpm, it requires a skilled hand to maximum the results and reduce risk or damaging the paint.

What Is A Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating are the next evolution in top coats. Replacing wax, ceramic coatings are highly durable and longer lasting. Professional grade ceramic coatings like Gtechniq's Crystal Serum, need to be professionally applied in a controlled environment.

What Is Included In An Enhancement Detail

Wheels

Wheels cleaned using pH neutral wheel cleaner and horse hair wheel brushes.

Arches

Arches cleaned to remove any build up of mud and/or brake dust.

Fallout Removal

Tar & glue and Fallout Remover are sprayed on the car to remove bird droppings, tree sap, bug marks and road tar.

Pre-Wash

A mild soap is sprayed on the lower half of the body to remove road grime then washed off.

Snow Foam

Body work sprayed with wash chemicals and coated in snowfoam. Gaps and shut lines are brushed

Engine Bay and Shuts

Whilst Snow Foam is dwelling, The engine bay and shuts are brushed clean.

2 Bucket Method Wash

Snow foam is washed free of the body and 2 bucket method safe wash is carried out using all pH Neutral products.

Air Blower

A specialist detailing air blower is used to move the bulk water and dry the gaps and shuts.

Towel Dry

A specialist detailing towel is used to dry the remained of the body work.

Clay Bar

Claybar to remove further contaminants including exhaust fumes and tar

2 Stage Machine Polish

Single stage machine polish to rejuvenate the paintwork, remove light swirls and marring and give a good depth of shine

Ceramic Coating

Ceramic Coating is then applied to the body work. Cure time 24hours minimum.

Detailing Spray

Non-coated panels are then quick detailed to refine the finish.

Interior

Interior is vacuumed, steam cleaned and anti-bac wiped down.

Glass

Glass panels are buffed to a high shine.

Metal

Metal surfaces are polished and buffed to a high shine

Plastic

Plastic surfaces are dressed.

Tyres

Tyres are dressed.

Crystal Serum Light is an entry level ceramic coating by Gtechniq. It provides similar benefits to Serum Ultra, but doesn't have the same durability and will therefore require topping up sooner.
