A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of working on another of Stuttgart’s finest, the 718 Spyder, which essentially is a manual roof convertible, Cayman GT4, of course with the awesome manual gearbox. This particular example was finished in Porsche’s solid black colour, which does look amazing, however if not protected correctly, can mean trouble.
This means it would show swirl marks, scratches and other imperfections more than any other colour. It also means any stone chips or road rash would look particular bad.
After discussing all these points with the customer, we decided the best way forward for him and all within the budget he wanted to spend protecting his car, was to apply our XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF to the front end and sideskirts of the car, protecting all the most vulnerable areas from damages, and giving the rest a new car prep and protecting it with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra & Exo. This means with Crystal Serum Ultra, swirl marks and hollograms are less likely to be inflicted on the paintwork from in proper washing.
The customer was very happy with the way his car is now protected and feels a lot more comfortable as he can now enjoy his drop top limited edition Porsche!
